{"id":125818,"date":"2024-10-28T12:26:43","date_gmt":"2024-10-28T11:26:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2024\/10\/i-promessi-sposi-in-scena-a-sofia\/"},"modified":"2024-10-28T12:55:14","modified_gmt":"2024-10-28T11:55:14","slug":"i-promessi-sposi-in-scena-a-sofia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2024\/10\/i-promessi-sposi-in-scena-a-sofia\/","title":{"rendered":"The Betrothed on stage in Sofia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the <strong>24th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World,-<\/strong>which this year has as its theme <strong>&#8220;Italian and the Book:<\/strong> <strong>the World between the Lines\u201d \u2013<\/strong>the <strong>Embassy of Italy in Bulgaria <\/strong>with the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia<\/strong>, the Embassy of Switzerland in Bulgaria and the University \u201cSt. Clement of Ohrid\u201d in Sofia organised &#8211; on 16 October, at the New Conference Hall of the same University &#8211; the <strong>staged reading in Italian<\/strong> of excerpts from <strong>Alessandro Manzoni\u2019<\/strong>s <strong><em>The Betrothed<\/em><\/strong> by Italian actor, playwright and theatre director <strong>Massimiliano Finnazer Flory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The reading, accompanied by the music of Matteo <strong>Fedeli<\/strong> \u2018s violin (a Guarneri violin of 1706), is a stage adaptation in the form of a<strong> monologue<\/strong>, promoted and recognised by the <strong>Ministry of Foreign Affairs and<\/strong> <strong>International<\/strong> <strong>Cooperation<\/strong> as a work of national interest.
