The conversation centred around the themes of his latest novel, \u201c<strong>Dilaga Ovunque<\/strong>\u201d (Laterza, 2023), which is a finalist for the <strong>2024 Campiello Prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Through the stories of some of the most representative artists from the vast world of <strong>graffiti<\/strong> and <strong>street art<\/strong>, Santoni explored <strong>their origins<\/strong> and their <strong>relationship with \u201cofficial\u201d art<\/strong> and <strong>public space<\/strong>, in dialogue with Gary <strong>Mackay<\/strong>, founder and director of <a href=\"https:\/\/swg3.tv\/arts\/urban-art\/\"><strong>Yardworks<\/strong><\/a>, a project at SWG3 that promotes urban art, graffiti, and design through an annual festival, exhibitions, and the first studio dedicated to street art in Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>After creating a fantastic piece inspired by the Italian language, artists <strong>Jpeg<\/strong> (Devon) and <strong>The Guzler<\/strong> (Dair) joined the conversation, discussing the work of Yardworks within the local community, where their projects help young people and local artists develop their potential.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On 18 October, as part of the 24th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute of Edinburgh organised a discussion at SWG3 in Glasgow, the epicentre of the city\u2019s artistic and musical scene, featuring Italian author Vanni Santoni.
