G7 Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

The G7 Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting<\/strong>, chaired by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, will be held in Fiuggi-Anagni on 25 and 26 November 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It will be the second G7 Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting to be hosted in Italy<\/strong> in the course of 2024, coming on the heels of the one held in Capri from 17 to 19 April, and the fourth under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after those held in Reggio Calabria and Pescara.\u00a0 The aim of the meeting is to strengthen the G7\u2019s role as the main consultation forum among the major liberal democracies and as a factor for stability in the face of the major crises taking place globally.<\/p>\n

The agenda of the meeting will focus on the main issues at the centre of the international debate, starting with the situation in the Middle East<\/strong> following the brutal terrorist attack launched by Hamas against Israel on 7 October 2023. The topics under discussion will include the serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza<\/strong>, the situation in Lebanon<\/strong>, the one in the Red Sea<\/strong>, and the need to promote a credible political scenario for the region, capable of guaranteeing peace and security<\/strong>, in the prospect of the \u2018two peoples, two states\u2019 solution.<\/p>\n

A debate on the war in Ukraine<\/strong> in the face of Russia\u2019s aggression will then follow. The Italian Presidency intends to confirm the G7\u2019s full military, political, economic and financial support for Kyiv, aimed at a comprehensive, just and lasting peace. Italy will also host the Ukraine Recovery Conference on 10-11 July 2025.<\/p>\n

The stability of the Indo-Pacific<\/strong>, a key region for political stability and world trade, as well as key regional issues and major global topics will also be part of the debate.<\/p>\n

Early accreditation of interested media representatives is mandatory<\/u><\/strong> for the meeting.<\/p>\n

Requests for accreditation <\/strong>must be submitted by midnight (local time) on Friday, 22 November 2024<\/u> through the G7 Portal, by registering at the link <\/strong>https:\/\/www.g7-2024.it\/<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0– (Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting 25-26 November, Fiuggi-Anagni, \u2018Media\u2019 Section), <\/strong>uploading the requested documentation.<\/p>\n

Please note that journalists and camera operators already accredited for previous G7 Ministerial Meetings will have to submit a new application for accreditation for this G7 Meeting.<\/p>\n
