Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani is on a mission to Munich. The Minister will speak remotely at the annual meeting for the promotion of Sistema Italia and consular coordination in Germany, and then meet with representatives of the Italian community, including entrepreneurs, scientific researchers, and representatives of civil society.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith a total economic interchange of EUR 164 billion in 2023, Germany is Italy\u2019s leading trade partner. It is thus essential to continue to implement effective economic diplomacy, with close coordination between all the players of Sistema Italia,\u201d said Minister Tajani. \u201cThe Italian community in Germany is an extraordinary lever for strengthening relations between our two countries \u2013 for this reason, we are working on strengthening our consular network and digitising services to offer increasingly rapid and effective solutions to the one million Italians living on German soil,\u201d continued Tajani.<\/p>\n
The Italian Deputy Prime Minister will also meet with the management of the European Southern Observatory (ESO), Europe\u2019s leading research facility in the astronomical sector, which is based in Munich and includes Italy among its 16 member states. \u201cWe are proud to support the work of ESO, one of the world\u2019s leading astronomical observatories in a key sector for international scientific cooperation,\u201d concluded the Italian Deputy Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Minister Tajani will also meet the President of the European People\u2019s Party, Manfred Weber.<\/p>\n
