Today, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, presided over the plenary session of the Italy-Ukraine Business Forum, as organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, at the Farnesina.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne thousand days after the unjustified Russian invasion of Ukraine, we reiterate the Italian government\u2019s full support for Kiev and its people not only in the political, economic and military spheres, but also with regard to future reconstruction,\u201d said Tajani. \u201cThe Italian economic system is ready to provide assistance for Ukraine\u2019s recovery in the context of the EU accession process and to forge new industrial partnerships that will benefit from the country\u2019s participation in the European single market,\u201d continued the Minister, who pointed out that the presence of 200 Italian and 50 Ukrainian companies at the Forum testifies to the strong interest of the two countries in collaborating in this area as well.<\/p>\n
The Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, the Italian Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Ukrainian Minister for Agriculture, Vitalii Koval, the President of ITA, Matteo Zoppas, and the Acting Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Defence, Luisa Riccardi, will be speaking during the event. A series of joint declarations and commitments will be finalised at the end of the session.<\/p>\n
The Forum, which will be attended by economic operators from the main Italian and Ukrainian financial institutions and trade associations, is a preparatory event for the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held in Rome on 10 and 11 July 2025. It will consist of a series of B2B and B2G meetings and thematic tables on sectors identified as priorities for the reconstruction of Ukraine \u2013 metallurgy and critical raw materials, energy transition and renewable energy, defence industry, agro-industry and machinery.<\/p>\n
