“Italy\u2019s immediate and proactive solidarity to Croatia affected by the earthquake that has caused extensive damage and loss of life in the country” –\u00a0 the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela Del Re, said. According to Article 29 of Legislative Decree 1\/2018, the Vice Minister asked the Head of the Civil Protection Department to activate the procedures for the “deliberation of the state of emergency for intervention abroad”, thus allowing for the humanitarian intervention immediately arranged by the Department. “At the same time” – the Vice Minister underlined – “a wave of solidarity with Croatia has also been immediately activated throughout Italy, with the participation of the Defence, Civil Society Organisations, local authorities and dioceses.”<\/p>\n
