A strategic alliance must be consolidated between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Italian municipalities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MAECI works to promote exports and the internationalisation of local areas together with the entire internationalisation team (ICE, CDP, SACE, SIMEST). Furthermore, within the framework of Italian Law 131\/2003, the Ministry supports and encourages the international projection of Italian local bodies by promoting investments, job creation, and welfare for families and enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the \u2018Roots Tourism\u2019 project, MAECI has selected more than 800 municipalities with a population of less than 6,000 inhabitants that will benefit from contributions for the implementation of cultural activities and the promotion of local areas.
