This year\u2019s edition will be held concurrently with the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Foreign Affairs hosted by the Italian government. Launched ten years ago by ISPI and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, <strong>Rome MED<\/strong> has become the point of reference for discussing the strategic issues of the enlarged Mediterranean and fostering an open, informal high-level debate with institutional representatives, experts, analysts, young people, and representatives of civil society, the economy and the media.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will officially open,<strong> in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, on Monday 25 November at 9:30 a.m.<\/strong> with a speech by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation <strong>Antonio Tajani<\/strong> and <strong>ISPI President Franco Bruni<\/strong>. Deputy Prime Minister <strong>Tajani will also speak at the closing ceremony on 27 November at 12:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>At approximately 8:45 a.m. on 25 November, Deputy Prime Minister Tajani will hold a brief press point.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event will be attended by high-level representatives from all over the enlarged Mediterranean region, as well as representatives of numerous relevant international organisations, including <strong>Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan; Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt; Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League; Taher al-Baour, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya; Abdallah Bou Habib, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Lebanon; Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India; Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen; Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates; <\/strong> <strong>Geir O.<\/strong> <strong>Pedersen, Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Syria.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To follow the event on the <strong>virtual platform <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/med.ispionline.it\/\"><strong>(https:\/\/med.ispionline.it<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong>, you will need to register by <strong>Sunday 24 November at 3 p.m.<\/strong> by filling in the appropriate <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.zohopublic.eu\/ispi\/form\/MED2024onlineregistration1\/formperma\/gZh9fXYqfpk73MrYcZ82bqOgLpugoPx9gnm5_F7hFuE\">form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event on <strong>25, 26 and 27 November <u>in person<\/u><\/strong> may apply for accreditation by sending a request <strong>by Friday 22 November at 4:00 p.m.<\/strong> to <a href=\"mailto:accreditamentostampa@esteri.it\">accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/a> (tel. 06\/3691 3432- 8573-3078- 8210), attaching the following:<\/p>\n<p>For representatives of Italian press organisations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or \u2013 in the absence of the latter \u2013 copy of professional identity card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>letter from the newspaper of affiliation;<\/li>\n<li>Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document\u00a0attached.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Please note that on the day of the event, no new accreditation requests will be accepted;
