Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani has expressed his great satisfaction over the Constitutional Court\u2019s decision no. 192\/2024 on issues of constitutionality relating to the differentiated autonomy legislation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere can be no delegation of powers to the Regions on international trade in the context of differentiated autonomy. Italy must provide a single, consistent image of itself abroad and on international markets. A territorial differentiation of our foreign trade policies would be harmful to our country,\u201d declared Minister Antonio Tajani.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had set out the issue in an official letter to Minister Calderoli last September. My observations turned out to be well-founded, and were upheld in today\u2019s Court decision. This will in no way impair the path of reforms the Government is engaged in,\u201d continued the Deputy Prime Minister, who added that \u201cforeign trade has strategic importance for the Italian economy. Our exporting supply chains are deeply integrated both nationally and on a European level, so action by public administration in support of our enterprises must be consistent, effective, and coordinated.\u201d These actions must be included within a framework of national coordination to increase the efficiency of resources while avoiding duplications, and to enable the indispensable operation of balancing local disparities.<\/p>\n
The Minister concluded: \u201cin promoting international trade, regional perspectives are and shall be fully integrated.
