Italy\u2019s commitment\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Farnesina \u2013 9 December 2024, 9:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"null\" style=\"margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt;\"><span class=\"null1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>On Monday, 9 December 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., <\/strong>the meeting \u201cLegal Diplomacy as driver of foreign policy. Combatting corruption and transnational organised crime. Italy\u2019s commitment\u201d (\u201c<em>La Diplomazia Giuridica come direttrice di politica estera. <\/em><em>Il contrasto alla corruzione ed al crimine organizzato transnazionale. L\u2019impegno dell\u2019Italia<\/em>\u201d), organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, will be held in the Farnesina\u2019s International Conference Hall.<\/p>\n<p>The event will open with a political Dialogue, with <strong>Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Minister of the Interior <strong>Matteo Piantedosi<\/strong> taking part in person.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Justice <strong>Carlo Nordio<\/strong> and <strong>Mathias Cormann<\/strong>, Secretary-General of the OECD, will also be in attendance, via video link.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the initial session of political Dialogue, there will be an opportunity for the authorities to make <strong>statements to the press<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event will then resume with two panels featuring <strong>Riccardo Guariglia<\/strong>, Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and<strong> Chiara Colosimo<\/strong>, Chair of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the phenomenon of Mafia-type organisations, including foreign ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicoletta Bombardiere<\/strong>, the Director General for Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will conclude the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from the leading national and international institutions engaged in combating corruption, from the business world, and from civil society will be on hand at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending <u>in person<\/u> the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by <strong>Friday 6 December at 6:00 p.m.<\/strong> to <a href=\"mailto:accreditamentostampa@esteri.it\">accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/a> (tel. 06\/3691 &#8211; 3432 or 8573), attaching the following:<\/p>\n<p>For representatives of Italian press organisations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or &#8211; in the absence of the latter &#8211; copy of professional identity card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>copy of an identity document;<\/li>\n<li>letter from the newspaper of affiliation;<\/li>\n<li>Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs<strong>,<\/strong> the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document\u00a0attached.<\/p>\n<p>Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, <strong>from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016\/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and\/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Press Accreditation Note\u00a0 \u201cLegal Diplomacy as driver of foreign policy.
