{"id":128073,"date":"2024-12-06T12:02:03","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T11:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2024\/12\/doha-katara-european-jazz-festival\/"},"modified":"2024-12-06T13:51:52","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T12:51:52","slug":"doha-katara-european-jazz-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2024\/12\/doha-katara-european-jazz-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Katara European Jazz Festival in Doha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once again this year, the <strong>Embassy of Italy in Doha<\/strong> is taking part in the <strong>Katara European Jazz Festival<\/strong>, held <strong>from 5 to 8 December in Doha<\/strong> along the waterfront of the Katara Cultural Village.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its eighth edition, the festival \u2013 which is organised by the Katara Cultural Village Foundation in collaboration with the EUNIC cluster \u2013 aims to strengthen cultural ties between Qatar and Europe, not only for jazz enthusiasts, but also for those who wish to open up to new musical genres and national traditions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Representing Italy<\/strong> for 2024 is the band <strong>Collettivo Immaginario<\/strong> joined by vocalist <strong>Paola Gladys<\/strong>. Collettivo Immaginario is trio formed by <strong>Alberto Lincetto<\/strong> (keyboard), <strong>Nicol\u00f2 Masetto<\/strong> (electric bass) and <strong>Tommaso Cappellato<\/strong> (percussion) that brings its funk-infused jazz music all over the world with concerts and performances.<\/p>\n<p>During the press conference, <strong>Italian Ambassador Paolo Toschi<\/strong> emphasised the cultural value of the festival and expressed enthusiasm for Italy\u2019s participation in such an important music event since its very first edition. \u201cIt is a pleasure for us, as the Embassy of Italy, to participate once again in the Katara European Jazz Festival. We believe that <strong>art is an instrument for building bridges between peoples and cultures<\/strong>: every year, thanks to this event, <strong>Qatar <\/strong>and<strong> Europe<\/strong> are brought <strong>closer<\/strong> and closer through music.
