China and Beyond in the Eyes of Marco Polo<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u201d<\/strong> (Shanghai Museum, 22 November 2024 \u2013 30 March 2025) will be inaugurated in the presence of the <strong>Consul General of Italy in Shanghai<\/strong>, Tiziana <strong>D\u2019Angelo<\/strong>, and the <strong>Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai<\/strong>, Francesco <strong>D\u2019Arelli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, <strong>curated<\/strong> by <strong>Francesco D\u2019Arelli<\/strong> and <strong>Wang Yue<\/strong>, Director of the Department of Bronzes of the Shanghai Museum, was conceived with the support of the <strong>Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai<\/strong> and with the collaboration of the<strong> Instituto della Enciclopedia Italiana-Treccani<\/strong>, the <strong>C\u00e0 Foscari University of Venice<\/strong>, the <strong>Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia<\/strong>, the <strong>Vatican Apostolic Library<\/strong> (Vatican City), the <strong>National Central Library of Florence<\/strong>, the <strong>Marciana National Library of Venice <\/strong>and the<strong> Procuratoria di San Marco<\/strong> (Treasury of San Marco) in Venice.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is inspired by <strong>Marco Polo\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>story \u201cThe Million\u201d, <\/strong>proposing an <strong>imaginary journey<\/strong> from the capital <strong>Yuan<\/strong>, <strong>Dadu (Khanbaligh), to Venice<\/strong>, passing through <strong>Quanzhou<\/strong>.
