{"id":129210,"date":"2025-01-07T15:54:40","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T14:54:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/01\/curitiba-omaggia-puccini\/"},"modified":"2025-01-07T17:08:11","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T16:08:11","slug":"curitiba-omaggia-puccini","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/01\/curitiba-omaggia-puccini\/","title":{"rendered":"Curitiba pays homage to Puccini"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The first edition of the project\u00a0<b>\u201cIl Largo delle Opere\u201d<\/b>\u00a0turned Curitiba into a true stage for celebrating classical music, bringing the magic of opera to the\u00a0<b>amphitheatre<\/b>\u00a0of the\u00a0<b>Sao Francisco Ruins in Curitiba<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Included in the official programme of the \u201c<b>Christmas of Curitiba &#8211;\u00a0<i>Luz dos Pinhais<\/i>\u00a02024<\/b>\u201d, with the institutional support of the\u00a0<b>Consulate General of Italy in Curitiba<\/b>, the unprecedented event enchanted more than 2,000 people, as well as being followed live on Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The project featured\u00a0<b>nine performances<\/b>\u00a0of three of Italy&#8217;s most celebrated operas:\u00a0<b>La Boh\u00e8me<\/b>, by Giacomo Puccini;\u00a0<b>La Traviata<\/b>, by Giuseppe Verdi; and\u00a0<b>L&#8217;Elisir d&#8217;Amore<\/b>, by Gaetano Donizetti. The theme of the initiative was the celebration of\u00a0<b>150 years of Italian immigration to Brazil<\/b>\u00a0and the\u00a0<b>centenary of Giacomo Puccini&#8217;s death<\/b>, paying homage to the rich Italian opera tradition and its influence on Paran\u00e1 culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The production of this first edition involved more than\u00a0<b>fifty professionals<\/b>, including, for\u00a0<b>musical direction<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>conducting<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Maestro<\/b>\u00a0Roberto\u00a0<b>Ramos<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>director<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>opera singer<\/b>, Denise\u00a0<b>Sartori,<\/b>\u00a0as well as opera singers, choristers, musicians, set designers, costume designers, stage technicians, producers and communicators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-KzrYrmywpk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-KzrYrmywpk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The first edition of the project\u00a0\u201cIl Largo delle Opere\u201d\u00a0turned Curitiba into a true stage for celebrating classical music, bringing the magic of opera to the\u00a0amphitheatre\u00a0of the\u00a0Sao Francisco Ruins in Curitiba.
