{"id":129822,"date":"2025-01-17T13:38:24","date_gmt":"2025-01-17T12:38:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/01\/new-delhi-oggetti-fra-le-righe\/"},"modified":"2025-01-17T14:15:58","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T13:15:58","slug":"new-delhi-oggetti-fra-le-righe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/01\/new-delhi-oggetti-fra-le-righe\/","title":{"rendered":"New Delhi, &#8220;Objects between the lines&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Italian Cultural Institute of New Delhi<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Kiran Nadar Museum of Art<\/strong>, presents an exhibition at the KNMA in Noida dedicated to the <strong>relationship between Italian literature and design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, titled &#8220;<strong>Objects between the lines<\/strong>&#8220;, curated by <strong>Andrea Anastasio<\/strong>, Director of the <strong>Italian Cultural Institute<\/strong>, and <strong>Domitilla Dardi<\/strong>, design <strong>historian<\/strong> and <strong>curator<\/strong>, will be open to the public until 22 February.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition highlights the deep <strong>connection<\/strong> between <strong>literary texts and everyday objects.<\/strong> Conceived by <strong>Dardi<\/strong>, it focuses on <strong>objects described in literature<\/strong> that are not merely background elements but become <strong>protagonists in the events narrated in stories and novels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by the Italian Cultural Institute of New Delhi, the exhibition explores the relationship between two major disciplines of Italian and Indian creative thought \u2013 <strong>literature and design<\/strong> \u2013 and is divided into <strong>three sections<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Found in Translation<\/strong>&#8220;, dedicated to <strong>objects born from the literary imagination of writers<\/strong> and <strong>realised by designers<\/strong> who &#8220;translate&#8221; them into concrete works;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Scenarios<\/strong>&#8220;, which describes <strong>literary scenes reinterpreted<\/strong> through multiple media by contemporary designers;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Free Associations<\/strong>&#8220;, featuring <strong>iconic pieces of Italian design history<\/strong>, freely associated with descriptions found in some masterpieces of Italian literature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Historical pieces, lent by public institutions and private collections, interact with works commissioned and designed specifically by Italian authors.
