With\u00a0<b>18 events<\/b>\u00a0that spanned\u00a0<b>cinema, historical research, visual arts, theatre, dance and music<\/b>, the\u00a0<b>26th Week of Italian Culture\u00a0<\/b>confirmed itself as one of the\u00a0<b>reference events in the Cuban cultural landscape<\/b>. A number of events had as their main theme the\u00a0<b>commemoration of the centenary of the death<\/b>\u00a0of composer Giacomo\u00a0<b>Puccini<\/b>.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Cinema<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0was represented by the tribute to Marcello\u00a0<b>Mastroianni<\/b>, while\u00a0<b>historical research<\/b>\u00a0by the opening workshop on\u00a0<b>Italian emigration to Cuba<\/b>.\u00a0<b>Visual arts<\/b>\u00a0featured prominently in many initiatives, including the graphics exhibition \u201c<b><i>Puccini 100 a\u00f1os<\/i><\/b><i>\u201d<\/i>, guided tours of the Italian statuary in the\u00a0<b><i>Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<b>Necropolis<\/b>, the comics exhibition \u201c<b><i>10 a\u00f1os de Pistoletto en Cuba<\/i><\/b>\u201d with the \u201c<i>Terzo Paradiso\u2019<\/i>\u201d project, and the photography exhibition \u201c<b><i>Miradas compartidas\u201d<\/i><\/b>.
