Deputy Minister, Manlio Di Stefano, spoke at the awards ceremony held this morning for the online CyberChallenge, organised by CINI\u2019s National Cybersecurity Laboratory. CINI (National Inter-University Consortium for Informatics) involves more than 1300 informatics and informatics engineering lecturers, from 48 Italian Universities. This is the major Italian initiative for identifying, attracting, recruiting, and putting the next generation of informatics security professionals, also known as \u201ccyber-defenders\u201d, into employment. .<\/p>\n
\u201cItaly\u2019s cybersecurity strategy,\u201d said Deputy Minister Di Stefano, \u201csees research as a fundamental pillar, thanks to which Universities, research centres, and innovative start-ups develop informatics technologies and resilience capacity, interacting with public institutions and private companies, in order to achieve the utmost competitiveness for the Country in this sector as well.\u00a0 Last year the Government equipped the Country with a National cybernetic security perimeter, in order to guarantee the highest security level for networks, information systems, and informatics used by public administrations and operators.\u201d<\/p>\n
