{"id":131156,"date":"2025-02-05T10:22:11","date_gmt":"2025-02-05T09:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/02\/barcellona-milano-vetrina-della-modernita\/"},"modified":"2025-02-05T11:05:10","modified_gmt":"2025-02-05T10:05:10","slug":"barcellona-milano-vetrina-della-modernita","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/02\/barcellona-milano-vetrina-della-modernita\/","title":{"rendered":"Barcelona, \u201cMilan, showcase of modernity\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Museum of Fine Arts of Alicante is strengthening its historical connection with Italian art through the exhibition \u201c<strong>Milan, showcase of modernity<\/strong>\u201d, <strong>curated<\/strong> by Nicoletta <strong>Colombo<\/strong>, Danka <strong>Giacon<\/strong>, and Serena <strong>Redaelli<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>the Italian Embassy in Madrid, the Italian Consulate General in Barcelona, the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona<\/strong>, the Generalitat Valenciana, and the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the relationship that <strong>19th-century artists from the MUBAG\u2019s<\/strong> (Museo de Bellas Artes Gravina) <strong>permanent collection established with Italy<\/strong>\u2014where they travelled on scholarships granted by the Provincial Council to enhance their training\u2014the exhibition (open until 4 May) takes visitors on a journey through <strong>Italian art history<\/strong> from the <strong>early 20th century to the 1940s<\/strong>. It features <strong>162 works<\/strong> from over 60 lenders and Italian institutions. A total of <strong>41 artists<\/strong> are represented, reflecting the <strong>cultural vibrancy of Lombardy in the first decades of the last century<\/strong>.
