{"id":133429,"date":"2025-03-19T14:01:20","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T13:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/03\/riga-lanno-dellitalia-in-lettonia\/"},"modified":"2025-03-19T15:25:49","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T14:25:49","slug":"riga-lanno-dellitalia-in-lettonia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/03\/riga-lanno-dellitalia-in-lettonia\/","title":{"rendered":"Riga, the Year of Italy in Latvia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"null\" style=\"margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Two <strong>major Italian exhibitions<\/strong> are arriving in <strong>Riga<\/strong> in <strong>2025<\/strong>: this was announced by <strong>Latvia&#8217;s Minister of Culture<\/strong>, Agnese L\u0101ce, and Mayor Vilnis \u0136irsis, alongside <strong>Italian Ambassador<\/strong> Alessandro Monti, at a press conference held at the<strong> Latvian National Museum<\/strong> of Art<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> on 6 Marc<\/span><span class=\"null1\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Aptos',sans-serif;\">h.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"null\" style=\"margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"null1\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: 'Aptos',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">From 22 May to 24 August, the <strong>Riga Bourse Art Museum <\/strong>will host &#8220;<strong>Italian Arts and Crafts from the 6th to the 19th Century<\/strong>&#8220;, in collaboration with <strong>Palazzo Madama <\/strong>and the <strong>Torino Museums Foundation<\/strong>. The exhibition will showcase <strong>over 100 masterpieces of applied and decorative art <\/strong>from the collection of Palazzo Madama in Turin, telling &#8220;almost fifteen centuries of Italian art, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque, through masterpieces that span various arts&#8221;, in the words of Giovanni Carlo Federico <strong>Villa,<\/strong> Director of Palazzo Madama. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">From 5 July to 26 October, it will be the turn of &#8220;<strong>Light from Italy: From Fattori to Morandi<\/strong>&#8220;, organised by the <strong>Latvian National Museum of Art (LNMM)<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Uffizi Galleries<\/strong>.
