\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

On\u00a0Thursday, 27 March 2025, at 10:00 a.m.,\u00a0<\/b>at the Aldo Moro Room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Minister\u00a0Antonio Tajani<\/b>\u00a0will open the event announcing Italy’s participation as guest of honour in the 2026 Guadalajara International Book Fair.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Guadalajara Book Fair, with over 900,000 visitors and more than 2,700 publishers from 64 countries that attended the 2024 edition, is\u00a0one of the most important publishing fairs globally,<\/b>\u00a0as well as the main one in the Spanish-speaking world. The presence of our country as guest of honour, for the second time after the 2008 edition, will place Italy at the centre of\u00a0a market that counts more than 300 million potential readers<\/b>, whose interest in Italian publishing is growing rapidly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will also highlight the action of the Foreign Ministry, jointly with the Ministry of Culture, the International Trade Agency (ITA), the Book and Reading Centre and the Italian Publishers’ Association, for the\u00a0internationalisation of Italian publishing<\/b>, the country’s leading cultural industry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will also be attended by the Minister of Culture,\u00a0Alessandro Giuli<\/b>, the President and the Director of the Guadalajara Book Fair,\u00a0Trinidad Padilla<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Marisol Schulz<\/b>, the ITA President,\u00a0Matteo Zoppas,\u00a0<\/b>Mexico’s Ambassador to Italy,\u00a0Carlos Garcia de Alba<\/b>, and the President of the Italian Publishers Association,\u00a0Innocenzo Cipolletta<\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or \u2013 in the absence of the latter \u2013 copy of professional identity card;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

for representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>copy of an identity document;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>letter from the newspaper of affiliation;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.<\/span><\/p>\n

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request shall be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Foreign Ministry\u00a0f<\/i>rom the\u00a0main entrance<\/b>,\u00a0left side,\u00a0from 9:15 to 9.45 a,m.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
