The event was organised with the support of <strong>NextGenerationEU<\/strong>, the <strong>Italian Ministry of University and Research, and Italia Domani<\/strong> \u2013 National Recovery and Resilience Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The stage of the Umberto Agnelli Auditorium welcomed violinist <strong>Letizia Gullino<\/strong> and pianist <strong>Luca Troncarelli<\/strong>, two young Italian musicians from the <strong>\u201cGiuseppe Verdi\u201d Conservatoire<\/strong> in <strong>Turin<\/strong>. <strong>Winners<\/strong> of the 2022 edition of the <strong>Premio delle Arti<\/strong> \u2013 Chamber Music category \u2013 they were selected to represent their institution in Tokyo as part of the \u201c<strong>International Routes: Arts Creating Future<\/strong>\u201d project.<\/p>\n<p>The concert offered an engaging <strong>dialogue between two great chamber music traditions<\/strong> \u2013 Italian and French \u2013 featuring works by renowned composers such as <strong>Niccol\u00f2 Paganini, Gabriel Faur\u00e9 and Ottorino Respighi<\/strong>, alongside lesser-known figures like <strong>Leone Sinigaglia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The recital opened with Letizia <strong>Gullino<\/strong>\u2019s performance of <strong>Paganini<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Caprice No. 11<\/strong> for solo violin. This was followed by <strong>Faur\u00e9\u2019s Sonata for Violin and Piano, Op. 13<\/strong> and <strong>Four Short Pieces for Violin and Piano, Op. 25 by Leone Sinigaglia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Luca <strong>Troncarelli<\/strong> then performed <strong>Faur\u00e9\u2019s Barcarolle, Op. 66.<\/strong> The concert continued with <strong>Respighi\u2019s Sonata in B minor, P. 110.<\/strong> The evening concluded with Amy <strong>Beach\u2019s Romance for Violin and Piano<\/strong> and <strong>Kleiner Mohrentanz<\/strong> from Four <strong>Bagatelles, Op. 28<\/strong> by Ferruccio <strong>Busoni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The recital &#8220;From Italy to France&#8220;, held at the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo, has come to a close.
