As part of the actions undertaken in the framework of growth diplomacy, the activities of the\u00a0Working Table for the internationalization of the biotechnology sector<\/i>, established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in agreement with the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the Ministry of University and Research, ITA and other institutional actors and entities from the world of research, trade organizations and finance, continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the presentation of the interim Report on 16 October 2024, between November and December, a consultation of sector stakeholders was launched which, on the basis of the contributions received, led to the drafting of a\u00a02024-2025 Final Report<\/u>, which integrated and updated the interim Report previously published.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Final Report, the Working Table made an in-depth analysis of the national biotechnology sector in order to identify the competitive levers on which to base a strategic plan for the internationalization of the sector.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, the following topics were addressed in the Report:<\/span><\/p>\n

– main trends and opportunities in scientific research at an international level;<\/span><\/p>\n

– identification of strategic guidelines (industrial and environmental priorities of national interest) for the development of a solid biotech ecosystem;<\/span><\/p>\n

– government investment policies in close coordination with the Enea Tech and Biomedical Foundation and CDP Venture Capital SGR;<\/span><\/p>\n

– attraction of international investment and resources;<\/span><\/p>\n

– protection and safeguard of national assets;<\/span><\/p>\n

– promotion and internationalization of the Italian biotech ecosystem (research, technology transfer, training and attraction of talent, businesses and capital);<\/span><\/p>\n

– strategic role of research infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n
