\n<\/strong>MAECI\u2013UNIVERSITY OF ROME \u201cFORO ITALICO\u201d AGREEMENT

On Monday, 19 May 2025, at 10:00 a.m.,<\/strong> in the Treaty Hall of the Farnesina<\/strong>, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, will open the signing ceremony of the Agreement between the MAECI and the \u201cForo Italico\u201d University of Rome<\/strong> for the establishment of the scholarship programme \u201cItaly runs towards the future\u201d.<\/strong> Also attending the event will be the Rector of the \u201cForo Italico\u201d University, Attilio Parisi,<\/strong> as well as athletes Lorenzo Ndele Simonelli<\/strong>, Italian record-holder in the 60m hurdles, and Yohanes Chiappinelli,<\/strong> middle-distance runner and marathoner.<\/p>\n

Following the speeches, Minister Tajani<\/strong> and Rector Prof. Parisi<\/strong> will proceed with the signing of the Agreement.<\/p>\n

Announced by the Minister last October at the G7 Development meeting in Pescara as part of the \u201cEducation\/Training\u201d pillar of the Mattei Plan, the programme \u201cItaly runs towards the future<\/strong>\u201d will award scholarships<\/strong> to students from ten Sub-Saharan African countries<\/strong> to attend postgraduate degree courses in Sport and Exercise Sciences<\/strong> and Sport Management<\/strong> at the Roman university. The initiative is a concrete contribution to the implementation of the sports diplomacy strategy launched by Minister Tajani.<\/p>\n

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event in person<\/strong> can apply for accreditation by sending a request by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 16 May<\/strong> via e-mail to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/a> (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 8573 or 8210), as follows:<\/p>\n

For representatives of the Italian press organisations:<\/p>\n

\u2013 a copy of the identity document,<\/p>\n

– a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter -, a copy of professional identity card.<\/p>\n

For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u2013 a copy of the identity document,<\/p>\n

\u2013 letter from the newspaper of affiliation,<\/p>\n

– Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.<\/p>\n

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/u>, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.<\/p>\n

Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen will be able to access the Farnesina from the main entrance, on the left side, from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m.<\/strong> on 19 May 2025.<\/p>\n
