{"id":136981,"date":"2025-05-21T12:52:01","date_gmt":"2025-05-21T10:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/05\/la-cultura-napoletana-a-new-york-con-la-mostra-premio-caputo\/"},"modified":"2025-05-21T16:03:29","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T14:03:29","slug":"la-cultura-napoletana-a-new-york-con-la-mostra-premio-caputo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/05\/la-cultura-napoletana-a-new-york-con-la-mostra-premio-caputo\/","title":{"rendered":"Neapolitan culture in New York with the \u201cPremio Caputo\u201d exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following its successful debut in Naples, the <strong>\u201cPremio Caputo\u201d exhibition<\/strong> embarks on its <strong>first international leg<\/strong>: the artworks will be on display at the Italian Cultural Institute of <strong>New York<\/strong> from 17 to 30 June 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2024 to celebrate the centenary of Mulino Caputo, the Premio Caputo is a <strong>corporate patronage<\/strong> initiative designed to support and promote a <strong>new generation of artistic talent.<\/strong> Aimed at students from the <strong>Academy of Fine Arts in Naples,<\/strong> the Premio Caputo invited young artists to explore the <strong>relationship between art and food<\/strong>, resulting in a contemporary art exhibition that premiered at the Historical Archive of the Banco di Napoli Foundation in autumn 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Marking the <strong>2,500<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the founding of Naples,<\/strong> the artworks created by the students, which celebrate the aesthetics and poetry of a <strong>collective cuisine<\/strong> deeply rooted in the city\u2019s working-class neighbourhoods, will present the public with the extraordinary <strong>artistic and culinary heritage<\/strong> of Naples.<br \/>\nCurated by Olga Scotto di Vettimo and Arcangela Di Lorenzo, both lecturers at the Academy, the exhibition offers young artists a valuable opportunity for international exposure through a venue of high cultural importance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew York is the most coveted stage for global contemporary art, and we are therefore delighted to host this project at the Italian Cultural Institute.
