{"id":139181,"date":"2025-06-20T16:07:34","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T14:07:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/06\/skopje-xxv-settimana-del-cinema-italiano\/"},"modified":"2025-06-20T17:31:14","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T15:31:14","slug":"skopje-xxv-settimana-del-cinema-italiano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/06\/skopje-xxv-settimana-del-cinema-italiano\/","title":{"rendered":"Skopje, 25th Week of Italian Cinema"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>25<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the Week of Italian Cinema<\/strong> was held in Skopje, organised by the <strong>Embassy of Italy<\/strong> within the framework of the \u201c<strong>ITALIAN SCREENS<\/strong>\u201d project, promoted by the <strong>Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI)<\/strong> and the <strong>Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, with the organisational support of <strong>Cinecitt\u00e0<\/strong> and the contribution of the<strong> Italian Cultural Institute of Belgrade<\/strong> and the National Cinematheque of the Republic of North Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>The central theme of the 2025 edition was <strong>travel<\/strong>, explored through <strong>six<\/strong> outstanding <strong>works<\/strong> of <strong>contemporary Italian cinema<\/strong> by renowned directors \u2013 <strong>Paolo Sorrentino and Gabriele Salvatores<\/strong> \u2013 alongside acclaimed filmmakers such as <strong>Paolo Genovese, Ferzan Ozpetek, and Roberto And\u00f2<\/strong>, as well as emerging voices like <strong>Greta Scarano<\/strong>, awarded <strong>Best Debut Director<\/strong> at the <strong>2025 Nastri d\u2019Argento<\/strong> (Silver Ribbons).<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The result was a diverse and representative cross-section of Italian cinematic excellence, showcasing the thematic variety, quality, and expressive power of the country\u2019s most recent film productions.
