Today, Vice\u00a0Minister Marina\u00a0Sereni\u00a0and\u00a0Deputy Minister\u00a0Manlio\u00a0di Stefano\u00a0held\u00a0talks,\u00a0by\u00a0video conference,\u00a0with organisations representing the culture sector, namely,\u00a0AIE\u00a0(Association of Italian Publishers),\u00a0ANICA\u00a0(Association of Film, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries),\u00a0APA\u00a0(Association of\u00a0Audiovisual Producers),\u00a0ASSORESTAURO. The\u00a0event\u00a0is part of\u00a0a\u00a0new\u00a0round of sectoral meetings, starting on 2 November,\u00a0dedicated to national production categories, called by\u00a0Deputy Minister\u00a0Di Stefano, who is in charge of\u00a0business\u00a0internationalisation\u00a0matters. The new\u00a0round\u00a0of talks\u00a0follows\u00a0the previous round held in April and which\u00a0led to the conclusion of the\u00a0Pact for\u00a0Export.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Vice\u00a0Minister\u00a0Sereni,\u00a0who is responsible\u00a0for the promotion of Italian culture in the world, opened the meeting by underlining that “since the\u00a0beginning\u00a0of the first wave\u00a0of the pandemic, we have\u00a0implemented a package of measures and projects to\u00a0tackle the crisis, allocating\u00a0approximately 30 million euros and\u00a0commissioning\u00a090 cultural projects, as\u00a0Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through\u00a0public\u00a0calls. Faced with\u00a0the enormous\u00a0impact of the crisis,\u00a0we need\u00a0to design and plan\u00a0effective, innovative and\u00a0wide-ranging\u00a0strategies, as soon as possible, to\u00a0ensure\u00a0the recovery and relaunching\u00a0of the cultural sector\u00a0in\u00a0the medium-long term.\u00a0To this end, we must make the most of the digital technologies, which can\u00a0help\u00a0us\u00a0reorganise\u00a0the cultural and creative\u00a0sector through hybrid experiences, also with a view to\u00a0broadening\u00a0the\u00a0audience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“We\u00a0must also support the\u00a0transformation of the business model for art and culture,\u00a0which should\u00a0not depend solely on ticketing.\u00a0Digital technology,\u00a0through\u00a0the\u00a0commitment of\u00a0the enterprises and organisations operating in the\u00a0sector, can generate a new, more flexible\u00a0and\u00a0technology-driven\u00a0demand.”\u00a0–\u00a0the Vice Minister\u00a0continued – “Our task, at\u00a0the Foreign Ministry,\u00a0is to provide\u00a0the\u00a0tools and opportunities\u00a0for\u00a0supporting the\u00a0internationalisation effort of the\u00a0network\u00a0of cultural and creative enterprises, thus contributing to\u00a0relaunching\u00a0the\u00a0overall “Italian System”\u00a0worldwide. Therefore, we need to fully exploit\u00a0the network of diplomatic and consular offices and Italian Cultural Institutes\u00a0abroad\u00a0and make the best use of all available national and European resources”.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr.\u00a0Di Stefano, in his speech, highlighted how “culture is a primary tool for our country to promote the entire national ecosystem of supply chains,\u00a0such as\u00a0the\u00a0tourism and food and wine\u00a0industries. We are therefore\u00a0engaged in\u00a0creating new ad-hoc tools for the internationalisation of the culture\u00a0industry,\u00a0on\u00a0a\u00a0digital\u00a0basis\u00a0and\u00a0with financial subsidies.\u00a0Constant discussions\u00a0in the interest of Italy’s image”.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
