Structural transformation of the economy is needed if we are to achieve inclusive growth. That is one of the key elements to emerge from the debate on the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) report for 2013. During the event, sponsored by Italy\u2019s Permanent Mission to the <\/A>United Nations in New York and moderated by Ambassador Sebastiano Cardi, the need for an industrial \u201crenaissance\u201d was discussed. Participants underscored that sustainable development and the eradication of poverty can also be achieved through sustainable, inclusive re-industrialisation. <\/P> Support for industry<\/STRONG><\/P> \u201cItaly is working with UNIDO to support programmes to develop the private industrial sector\u201d, commented Cardi. He underscored the focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial districts and business networks.
