Her views were reported today by her spokesperson, Rupert Corville, after her meeting with the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs. Benedetto Della Vedova.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Violation of human rights<\/STRONG><\/P><br \/>\n<P>Della Vedova said that High Commissioner Pillay acknowledged that the marines\u2019 case displayed elements of a violation of human rights. \u201cShe expressed a commitment to examine these elements in the United Nations\u201d, Della Vedova told journalists after meeting Pillay. \u201cI think this is an important statement because we need to consider the existence of a violation of human rights.
