The event forms part of \u201c<strong>Fare Cinema\u201d<\/strong>, the initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to promote Italian cinema abroad.<\/p>\n<p>During the evening, three of the five short films shortlisted for the 2025 David di Donatello Award in the \u201cBest Short Film\u201d category will be screened. In \u201c<strong>Majonez\u00eb<\/strong>\u201d by Giulia Grandinetti, the protagonist Elyria lives with her family under the strict rules of her father, suppressing her anger through obedience. A deep desire for emancipation drives her to a powerful act of rebellion. In \u201c<strong>Domenica Sera<\/strong>\u201d, winner of the 2025 edition, director <strong>Matteo Tortone<\/strong> tells the story of Alex and Nemy, who meet by chance one night in the basement of a building on the outskirts of Turin. The two young people find solace in their shared solitude and vulnerability, experiencing a fleeting connection that is quickly interrupted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>The Eggregores\u2019 Theory<\/strong>\u201d by <strong>Andrea Gatopoulos<\/strong> explores a dystopian society in which a language-related disease renders certain words lethal to humankind.
