{"id":141220,"date":"2025-07-24T11:33:54","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T09:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/07\/maeci-e-amaci-per-la-giornata-del-contemporaneo-aperte-oggi-le-candidature\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T13:07:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T11:07:23","slug":"maeci-e-amaci-per-la-giornata-del-contemporaneo-aperte-oggi-le-candidature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/07\/maeci-e-amaci-per-la-giornata-del-contemporaneo-aperte-oggi-le-candidature\/","title":{"rendered":"MAECI and AMACI for the Contemporary Art Day: applications now open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Italian Foreign Ministry is once again partnering with AMACI (the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums), through the global network of Italian Cultural Institutes, to promote the 21<sup>st<\/sup> edition of the <\/em><em>Contemporary Art Day<\/em><em>, which will take place internationally from Saturday 4 to Friday 10 October 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday 4 October 2025, the 21<sup>st<\/sup> edition of the Contemporary Art Day will be celebrated \u2013 the major annual event organised by AMACI with the support of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture and in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).<\/p>\n<p>For the twenty-first consecutive year, AMACI\u2019s 26 member museums, along with over a thousand public and private institutions across Italy, will open their doors to the public free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>As in previous editions, this year the Contemporary Art Day will once again cross national borders, expanding internationally until 10 October 2025 through the project <em>Giornata del Contemporaneo \u2013 Italian Contemporary Art<\/em>, developed in synergy with MAECI\u2019s diplomatic-consular network \u2013 Embassies, Consulates, and Italian Cultural Institutes \u2013 with the aim of promoting and enhancing Italian contemporary art worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The central theme of the 2025 edition is education, interpreted as a broad and multifaceted process encompassing learning, research, and the exchange of knowledge and experience. This theme was developed through a shared reflection by the directors of AMACI museums, following on from the study day organised by the association in March.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing a tradition that dates back to 2006, a prominent artist is once again invited to create the key visual for the initiative: for the 2025 edition, the chosen artist is the collective <em>Atelier dell\u2019Errore (AdE)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>To take part in the 21<sup>st<\/sup> Contemporary Art Day, participants must register by 3 October at 3:00 p.m. by completing the application form available at: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/giornatadelcontemporaneo.amaci.org\/it\">https:\/\/giornatadelcontemporaneo.amaci.org\/it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All events will be published online from 15 September 2025 in the dedicated section of the official website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Foreign Ministry is once again partnering with AMACI (the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums), through the global network of Italian Cultural Institutes, to promote the 21st edition of the Contemporary Art Day, which will take place internationally from Saturday 4 to Friday 10 October 2025.
