Women changing architecture<\/em><\/strong>\u201d is currently on display at the Faculty of Architecture of <strong>UNAM<\/strong> (National Autonomous University of Mexico). The project is promoted by the <strong>MAXXI \u2013 National Museum of 21<sup>st<\/sup> century Arts<\/strong> in Rome, in collaboration with the <strong>Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong> and <strong>UNAM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition aims to offer the local public a new, more inclusive perspective on architecture, focusing on the <strong>role of women in Italian architecture<\/strong> \u2013 from the talented pioneers of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century to the most influential voices on today\u2019s contemporary scene.<\/p>\n<p>Closely linked to the exhibition \u201cGood news. Women in architecture\u201d previously presented at MAXXI, the show is structured in several sections. The first \u2013 \u201c<em>Stories of Italian women architects<\/em>\u201d \u2013 is dedicated to the projects and biographies of leading figures in post-war Italian architecture, such as <strong>Lina Bo Bardi, Gae Aulenti, Cini Boeri, and Maria Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo.<\/strong> The second section \u2013 \u201c<em>Practices in Italy<\/em>\u201d \u2013 focuses on works carried out in Italy by international female architects. The exhibition concludes with the chapters \u201c<em>Narratives and visions<\/em>\u201d, featuring interviews with experts and scholars on gender equality and on the increasingly conscious relationship between \u201cgender and space\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The exhibition \u201cGood news.
