The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Giorgio Silli, took part today in the First National Conference on \u201cThe Arctic: Defence and the National System in the New Challenges of Global Competition\u201d, organised by Undersecretary of State for Defence Isabella Rauti at the Centre for Higher Defence Studies (Centro Alti Studi Difesa) in Rome.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Undersecretary Silli noted that the update of Italy\u2019s Arctic policy is nearing completion through the preparation of a new strategic document to replace the one adopted in 2015. The document represents a collective endeavour, the result of close cooperation among ministries, research bodies and institutions, aimed at providing an integrated, forward-looking vision that builds on Italy\u2019s long-standing scientific and historical experience while addressing new international challenges.<\/p>\n
