The meeting follows the Commissioner\u2019s talks yesterday with the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WVUTx_2eHjg?si=GorAcOPhz7lS1OwP\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The agenda will include discussions on transatlantic economic relations and the implementation of the EU\u2013US agreement on tariffs, European economic security, and the supply of critical raw materials and rare earths. Talks will also focus on new free trade agreements, including the one currently being finalised between the EU and MERCOSUR, which is expected to deliver significant benefits for European businesses and to enhance the growth and competitiveness of the EU economy.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Tajani and Commissioner \u0160ef\u010dovi\u010d will also meet with around thirty senior representatives of Italy\u2019s industrial and manufacturing sectors. The meeting will provide an opportunity for direct dialogue between the Commissioner and leading figures from Italy\u2019s industrial and agri-food systems, including representatives of the pasta industry, on the prospects for European trade policy.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the discussions will also review the anti-dumping duties recently announced by the United States on Italian pasta, and the ongoing dialogue with the US authorities \u2014 supported by the EU \u2014 aimed at securing a revision of that decision.
