The event was organised by the City of Sofia, the Marches region, the city of Urbino, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria and the National Museum of Bulgarian Art, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Sofia and with the patronage of Ambassador of Italy to Bulgaria Marco Conticelli.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Candidate for 2019 European Capital of Culture <\/STRONG><\/P><br \/>\n<P>Urbino, the painter\u2019s native city, and Sofia and the Southwest Region are both candidates for 2019\u2019s European Capital of Culture.
