{"id":162359,"date":"2025-12-02T17:26:55","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T16:26:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/12\/bulgaria-milano-cortina-al-bansko-film-fest\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T09:19:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T08:19:08","slug":"bulgaria-milano-cortina-al-bansko-film-fest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/12\/bulgaria-milano-cortina-al-bansko-film-fest\/","title":{"rendered":"Bulgaria, Milan-Cortina at the Bansko Film Fest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The selection of Italian films at the <strong>24th Bansko Mountain &amp; Adventure Film Festival<\/strong>, a film festival dedicated to winter and adventure sports, was a resounding success.<\/p>\n<p>Mountaineers <strong>Stefano Ragazzo<\/strong> and <strong>Matteo Della Bordella<\/strong>, a member of the renowned <em>Ragni di Lecco<\/em> mountaineering group, introduced the screening of the documentaries &#8220;Eternal Solo&#8221; by Andrea Cossu and &#8220;Odyssea Borealis&#8221; by Alessandro Beltrame, which focus on their sporting exploits.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian participation in the Festival was further enriched by the selection of <strong>five other documentaries <\/strong>dedicated to the theme of mountains: &#8220;<em>Cinquanta<\/em>&#8221; by Paolo Vinati, &#8220;<em>Gigio in Nespello<\/em>&#8221; by Alberto Valtellina, &#8220;The Red Face Zone&#8221; by Marco Tribelhorn, &#8220;Beyond&#8221; by Alex Bellini, and &#8220;<em>Altrove<\/em>&#8221; by Gabriele Canu.<\/p>\n<p>Crowning Italy&#8217;s participation, coordinated by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia and the local Embassy, <strong>Ambassador Marcello Apicella<\/strong>&#8216;s speech leveraged the sporting context to present the <strong>upcoming Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics<\/strong>, illustrating the program and emphasizing its message of peace, inclusion, and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Italy and Bulgaria are also preparing to jointly organize the <strong>start of the <em>Giro d&#8217;Italia<\/em> in 2026<\/strong>, showing the excellent relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>As a completion to the program, the panel <strong>exhibition entitled<\/strong> &#8220;<strong>Air, Water, Earth, Fire<\/strong>&#8221; by Italian artist Adriana Pignatelli, dedicated to Southern Italy\u2019s volcanic arc (Vesuvius, <em>Etna, Campi Flegrei<\/em>, and the Aeolian Islands)y, was inaugurated in Bansko&#8217;s main square.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The selection of Italian films at the 24th Bansko Mountain &amp; Adventure Film Festival, a film festival dedicated to winter and adventure sports, was a resounding success.
