\u201cAffari Sociali Internazionali – Nuova Serie\u201d, a quarterly journal produced by the Idos think tank has been revived after a five-year break in publication. Edited by the Foreign Ministry\u2019s Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration policies, the journal was forced to close in 2008.<\/P>

The journal, founded in 1973, was described by the then Chairman of the steering committee, Foreign Minister Giuseppe Medici, as \u201ca meeting point between technical investigation and hands-on evaluation, between the world of culture and that of the administration\u201d. It examined \u201cour country\u2019s social problems, considered from their historic and international perspectives\u201d. Ambassador Adriano Benedettiwill be illustrating the history of the journal and introducing the new version at the Auditorium in Via Rieti.<\/P>

Focus on Asian immigration to Italy<\/STRONG><\/P>

The first issue is dedicated to Asian immigration to Italy and underscores the linkage between this community and the new \u201cepicentre\u201d of the global economy.
