The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and under the auspices of the Neapolis 2500 National Committee. The exhibition runs until 11 January 2025 at the <strong>Palazzo delle Istituzioni Italiane<\/strong> in <strong>Tangier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition highlights the vitality and continuity of the <strong>artistic tradition of Naples and the Campania region<\/strong>, featuring works from the post-war period to the present day. Its title evokes <strong>Mount Vesuvius as a symbol<\/strong> of energy, creativity, and regenerative power.<\/p>\n<p>Scientific curation is entrusted to Angela <strong>Tecce<\/strong>, President of the Museo d&#8217;Arte Contemporanea Donnaregina \u2013 Museo Madre, and Claudia <strong>Borrelli<\/strong>, Senior Curator of the collection at the Museo del Novecento in Naples at Castel Sant\u2019Elmo.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition comprises <strong>29 works<\/strong> from <strong>Naples\u2019 public collections<\/strong> \u2014 Madre \u2013 Museo d\u2019Arte Contemporanea Donnaregina and Museo del Novecento at Castel Sant\u2019Elmo \u2014 by some of the foremost contemporary artists, including Tomaso <strong>Binga<\/strong>, Francesco <strong>Clemente<\/strong>, Maria Adele <strong>Del Vecchio<\/strong>, Mimmo <strong>Jodice<\/strong>, Raffaela <strong>Mariniello<\/strong>, Umberto <strong>Manzo<\/strong>, Mimmo <strong>Paladino<\/strong>, Giulia <strong>Piscitelli<\/strong> and Marinella <strong>Senatore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration featured a musical performance intertwining <strong>art and tradition<\/strong>: Emilia <strong>Zamuner<\/strong>\u2019s voice and Alessandro <strong>Morlando<\/strong>\u2019s guitar brought to life pieces from the <strong>Neapolitan classical repertoire<\/strong>, thanks to collaboration with <strong>CIDIM<\/strong> \u2013 Italian National Music Committee and support from the <strong>Ministry of Culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition also forms part of the symbolic programme marking the <strong>Bicentenary of Diplomatic Relations between Italy and Morocco.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On the occasion of the 2,500th anniversary of Naples\u2019 founding, the Italian Embassy in the Kingdom of Morocco and the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat have presented the exhibition \u201cArt from the Volcano\u201d.
