A new scene\u201d exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Embassy of Italy in Bras\u00edlia<\/strong> and <strong>Triennale Milano<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy of the Federal District<\/strong>, present the exhibition \u201c<strong>Italian painting today. A new scene<\/strong>\u201d at the prestigious <strong>Museu Nacional da Rep\u00fablica<\/strong> in Bras\u00edlia, marking the second South American stop following its debut in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p>Curated by Damiano Gull\u00ec, Curator of Contemporary Art and of the Public Program at Triennale Milano, the exhibition builds on the <strong>eponymous collective show held at Triennale<\/strong> Milano in 2023 and focuses on the emerging Italian art scene, featuring artists born between 1990 and the 2000s who primarily work in painting. The exhibition aims to highlight, promote and celebrate the richness and complexity of Italian painting in all its forms and expressions.<\/p>\n<p>Organised into five sections\u2014Alone\/Together; History, Stories and Tradition; Metaphysics of Everyday; In Between; Form, Colour, Time, Matter\u2014the show explores themes such as representation and self-representation, engagement with the everyday object world, disciplinary crossovers and shifts, reinterpretation and transformation of traditional techniques and iconographies, the fluid interplay between abstraction and figuration, and new approaches to abstraction.<\/p>\n<p>The presence <strong>of the Italo-Brazilian artist Giulia Mangoni<\/strong>, who has created a <strong>site-specific work<\/strong> for both the Buenos Aires and Bras\u00edlia exhibitions, further encourages direct exchange between the artistic scenes of the two countries and contributes to strengthening their already excellent cultural ties.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Embassy of Italy in Bras\u00edlia and Triennale Milano, in collaboration with the Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy of the Federal District, present the exhibition \u201cItalian painting today.
