{"id":166760,"date":"2025-12-23T09:23:59","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T08:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2025\/12\/tokyo-in-concerto-il-tenore-marcello-nardis\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T10:45:36","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T09:45:36","slug":"tokyo-in-concerto-il-tenore-marcello-nardis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/diplomazia-culturale\/2025\/12\/tokyo-in-concerto-il-tenore-marcello-nardis\/","title":{"rendered":"Tokyo: Tenor Marcello Nardis in concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The final event of the annual \u201c<strong>Concerti di Tokyo Kudan<\/strong>\u201d series took place at the Auditorium of the <strong>Italian Institute of Culture of Tokyo<\/strong>, under the artistic direction of <strong>Maestro Gaetano D\u2019Espinosa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The evening featured tenor <strong>Marcello Nardis<\/strong>, an artist with a long-standing international career, accompanied at the piano by <strong>Ayako Takada<\/strong>, a collaborator of the <strong>New National Theatre Opera Studio<\/strong> in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>The programme offered the Japanese audience a refined and deeply evocative musical journey through selected masterpieces of the European vocal repertoire, including <strong><em>Visione veneziana<\/em><\/strong> by Brogi, marked by its intense lyricism, Britten\u2019s <strong><em>Seven Sonnets of Michelangelo<\/em><\/strong>, a technically demanding and impassioned vocal cycle inspired by the poetic texts of Michelangelo Buonarroti and, in conclusion, Luciano Berio\u2019s <strong><em>Quattro canzoni popolari<\/em><\/strong>, distinguished by their vibrant vitality.<\/p>\n<p>The recital was met with an excellent audience response, with particular appreciation shown for the encores performed outside the official programme: \u201cNemu no Ki no Komoriuta\u201d (Lullaby of the Silk Tree), a Japanese children\u2019s song, and \u201cS\u00ec dolce \u00e8 \u2019l tormento\u201d, a madrigal by Claudio Monteverdi.
