The Italian Consulate in Shanghai has begun a project to map the \u201cItalian Lifestyle in Shanghai\u201d. The mapping exercise will identify art galleries, architectural practices, boutiques and dressmakers and all the other highlights of the \u201cMade in Italy\u201d brand in the Chinese city. <\/P>

The aim of the project, inspired by the \u201cHistorical Map of Italians in Shanghai from 1608 to 1949\u201d, is to \u201cillustrate the relationship between the best of the Italian lifestyle today and the historic Italian presence in Shanghai\u201d. <\/P>

On 12 May 2013, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Women\u2019s Association in Shanghai organised a guided tour of the most significant \u201cItalian spots\u201d in the city. Another two tours \u2013 one in Chinese and one in English \u2013 are planned later this year.
