{"id":173301,"date":"2026-01-30T17:07:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T16:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2026\/01\/roma-parigi-i-70-anni-del-gemellaggio\/"},"modified":"2026-02-02T09:09:36","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T08:09:36","slug":"roma-parigi-i-70-anni-del-gemellaggio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2026\/01\/roma-parigi-i-70-anni-del-gemellaggio\/","title":{"rendered":"Rome\u2013Paris: 70 years of Twinning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 30 January, the Ambassador of Italy to France, Emanuela <strong>D\u2019Alessandro,<\/strong> hosted an official luncheon at the H\u00f4tel de Rochefoucauld-Doudeauville, the <strong>Embassy<\/strong>\u2019s headquarters, to celebrate the <strong>seventieth anniversary of the unique twinning relationship between Rome and Paris<\/strong>, in the presence of the Mayors of the two capitals.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by the Secretaries General of the <strong>French and Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs<\/strong>, Ambassador Anne-Marie <strong>Desc\u00f4tes<\/strong> and Ambassador Riccardo <strong>Guariglia<\/strong>, the Ambassador of France to Italy, Martin <strong>Briens<\/strong>, as well as numerous representatives from the institutional, political, economic and cultural spheres of both cities.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, the artwork \u201c<strong>Panorama of Rome as seen from the terrace of San Pietro in Montorio<\/strong>\u201d, painted in <strong>1779<\/strong> by <strong>Louis Le Masson<\/strong> and kindly loaned by the Fondation Louis Le Masson et Fran\u00e7ois Masson \u2013 Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts, was officially unveiled.
