It is the main strategic forum for analysis of stability and security-related issues in the Middle East. The conference\u2019s specific focus covers the Greater Middle East and macro-regional risk assessment, Israeli foreign affairs and international relations and national security methodologies and foreign policy. <\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Networking opportunities<\/STRONG><\/P><br \/>\n<P>The conference, which concludes on 14 March and whose theme is \u201cTime for new national and regional agendas\u201d, is a networking opportunity for Israeli and international government, business and academic representatives. <\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Six sessions<\/STRONG><\/P><br \/>\n<P>Plenary discussions in six separate sessions will include economic themes such as the global economic crisis and Israel\u2019s macroeconomic and budget priorities, the role of the Middle East within the framework of the new global balances established by the United States and Asia, opportunities for resetting relations between Israel and the United States, and the need for a shared Europe\/U.S.\/Middle East strategy.<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Minister Giulio Terzi is in Israel for the 13th Herzliya Conference, organised by the IPS-IDC and based on the Munich Security Conference.
