The meeting offered an opportunity to take stock of 2012\u2019s total trade of nearly \u20ac20 billion, which, despite a slight dip, showed Italian exports holding their own. Italian business persons, Ambassador Gianpaolo Scarante explained, have confirmed the Turkish market\u2019s importance to Italy along with the persistence of strong interests in its potential.
