Supporting enterprise and the new way of doing business Terzi then expressed his appreciation of Lombardy\u2019s enterprises, which are \u201ca key element of Italy\u2019s global presence. [\u2026] 60% of Lombardy\u2019s businesses operate in the international markets and each, on average, exports to at least 14 countries. You have a unique ability to bring together innovation, skilled jobs and internationalisation\u201d A Libyan delegation also attended the conference. Terzi said he was \u201cpleased to see such interest, in the framework of a priority relationship and partnership with Italy. We are doing everything possible to encourage trade\u201d, added Terzi. The Minister will also be attending the Italian-Libyan Business Forum in Milan, with Libya\u2019s Deputy Minister for Planning.
<\/STRONG>\u201cAgainst this background\u201d, said Terzi, \u201csupporting business is an integral \u2013 and key \u2013 part of diplomacy. The feedback I constantly receive from business people confirms that the great majority of our diplomats have adopted this new mindset. Given that the structure of the markets has changed, the relationships between the institutions and the business community must change too\u201d, added Terzi. \u201cI have asked our embassies to develop their economic intelligence activities so that they can report business opportunities in good time\u201d. <\/P>
