The Italian Cultural Institute of Prague, in collaboration with the Bologna Welcome Foundation, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation, organised on 16 and 17 April a two-day programme of events dedicated to the city of Bologna, with the aim of presenting the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region to the Czech public through some of its outstanding cultural assets.<\/p>\n
Proceedings opened on 16 April with Maestro Federica Falasconi, who led the audience in a lecture-concert devoted to opera, followed by the event \u201cBologna: art, culture and music \u2013 in the footsteps of the modern visionary Marconi\u201d, held in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to the Czech Republic, Alessandro Gaudiano, and coordinated by Director Marialuisa Pappalardo. Before an audience of journalists, tourism professionals, Italy enthusiasts and representatives from the arts and cultural sectors, contributions were delivered by Patrik Romano, Director General of Bologna Welcome; Elisabetta Riva, Superintendent of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna; and, via live streaming, Giulia Fortunato, President of the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation, who presented some of the key excellences of Bologna and its surrounding area.<\/p>\n
As part of the ongoing collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute and the Academy of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, the initiative continued on the morning of 17 April with a masterclass at the Institute led by Maestro Federica Falasconi, addressed to voice students of the Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU) in Prague. The programme concluded in the Institute\u2019s Baroque Chapel with a concert featuring Anna Cimmarrusti (soprano), Enrico Park (tenor) and Chiara Scannapieco (mezzo-soprano), opera students from the Academy of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.<\/p>\n
