On 5 May, Palazzo Borromeo, the seat of the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See, hosted the presentation of the documentary \u201cOsama – The Journey Home\u201d, produced by the Pro Terra Sancta Association, written by Andrea Avveduto and Giacomo Pizzi, and directed by Luca Mondellini.<\/p>\n
Through the life story of architect and restorer Osama Hamdan, the documentary highlights how culture and the protection of shared cultural heritage can serve as instruments of dialogue and peace among peoples, religions and cultures, also placing emphasis on memory, identity and the complexity of the Holy Land. In a context marked by tensions and divisions, the film offers, through the figure of Osama Hamdan, a message of dialogue and hope, with particular attention to younger generations.<\/p>\n
The event was opened by remarks by Ambassador Di Nitto, followed by a discussion featuring His Excellency Mons. Flavio Pace, Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, and Dr Carla Benelli, Head of Cultural Heritage Conservation Projects at the Pro Terra Sancta Association.<\/p>\n
