The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edmondo Cirielli, spoke today at the ceremony for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) and the International Italy-Latin America Organization (IILA), held at the latter’s headquarters in Rome.<\/p>\n
In his speech Deputy Minister\u00a0Cirielli said: “ADM has extraordinary technical expertise. Since 2022, one of my main objectives has been to progressively involve as many stakeholders as possible in the Italian Development Cooperation\u2019s action. IILA is also a historic partner of our Cooperation. Italy currently finances projects with IILA for over \u20ac15 million.”<\/p>\n
The Memorandum – a further Italian legal diplomacy initiative targeted to Latin American countries – aims to strengthen institutional cooperation between Italy and Latin America in the customs and border management sectors, thus fostering safe economic and investment opportunities in a strategic area where Italian exports have recently reached \u20ac34 billion annually.
