L\u2019eterna ricerca di Giuseppe Tucci\u201d (<em>Embracing the infinite: Giuseppe Tucci\u2019s eternal quest<\/em>), dedicated to the figure of the great orientalist, explorer and tibetologist, was inaugurated on May 13, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to China, Massimo Ambrosetti. The exhibition is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing and the University of Macerata, in collaboration with ISMEO (International Association for Mediterranean and Oriental Studies), under the patronage of the Municipality of Macerata and the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture. It will be open until 23 June 2026 at the Auditorium of the Italian Institute of Culture.<\/p>\n<p>The opening ceremony was held in the presence of the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Beijing, Federico Roberto Antonelli, and John McCourt, Rector of the University of Macerata, hometown of Giuseppe Tucci. The scientific co-curator of the exhibition, Oscar Nalesini (researcher at ISMEO) and Prof. Saerji, lecturer at Peking University, curator of the Chinese edition of \u201cIndo-Tibetica\u201d (<em>Indo-Tibetan<\/em>) by Giuseppe Tucci. To complete the presentation of the figure of Tucci was screened the documentary &#8220;Sulla strade dell&#8217;Est\u201d (<em>On the Eastern Roads<\/em>), produced by Rai and Mad Entertainment in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition tells the intellectual and scientific adventure of Giuseppe Tucci through photographs, documents and screenings of the feature film \u201cNel Tibet Occidentale\u201d (<em>In Western Tibet<\/em>, 1933, preserved in the Historical Archive of the Istituto Luce \u2013 Cinecitt\u00e0) and the documentary \u201cTucci. Tra il concreto e l\u2019astratto\u201d (<em>Tucci. Between the concrete and the abstract<\/em>), curated by Arte Nomade.<\/p>\n<p>After Beijing, the exhibition will continue its itinerary in South-West China, thanks to the collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, and later to Ulaanbaatar, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Mongolia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The exhibition \u201cAbbracciando l\u2019infinito.
