The Italian Cultural Institute of Algiers hosted the event \u201cThe world of fragrances\u201d, dedicated to the world of fragrance creation, with the participation of Rafik Metidja, an internationally renowned perfumer and creator, who guided the audience on a fascinating journey through the history of perfume, interweaving stories, memories, curiosities and anecdotes linked to the art of olfaction in the Mediterranean and in Italy.<\/p>\n
The first part of the event was devoted to storytelling: from artisanal traditions to contemporary perfumery, a large audience discovered how fragrances have traversed eras, cultures and places, becoming instruments of identity, seduction and memory.<\/p>\n
The second half of the event featured an experiential workshop: participants were introduced to the principles of olfactory composition and had the opportunity to create their own fragrance, working primarily with Italian essences and ingredients inspired by the aromatic heritage of the Mediterranean: citrus fruits, aromatic herbs, flowers and resins.<\/p>\n
