The Consul reported that he found them in good condition, but requested that the local authorities make certain improvements to their detention conditions, also for the benefit of the other activists in the group of various nationalities who have requested assistance from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The authorities in eastern Libya have agreed to allow the detainees to take showers, receive a change of clothing and be provided with improved accommodation arrangements.
