The programme featured pieces by Ennio Morricone from Sergio Leone\u2019s films, works by Nicola Piovani and Nino Rota, as well as famous opera arias by Verdi (\u201cLa Traviata\u201d), Bellini (\u201cNorma\u201d) and Mascagni (Intermezzo from \u201cCavalleria Rusticana\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>The second part of the concert marked the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis with the song from Franco Zeffirelli\u2019s 1972 film \u201cFratello Sole, Sorella Luna\u201d, based on the \u201cCanticle of the Creatures\u201d.
